In addition to GP consultations the practice offers a comprehensive range of clinics and healthcare services:

Chronic Disease Clinics 

These clinics are run daily. All our patients suffering from the conditions below are called in on a regular interval for monitoring and review.

  • Diabetes - we strive to provide the very best care for all of our diabetic patients. We can initiate insulin at the surgery for suitable patients. The practice enjoys excellent collaboration with our community based Consultant Diabetologist and his team in Washwood Heath.
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Heart disease
  • Asthma
  • COPD(chronic bronchitis and emphysema)

Well baby clinic

The Health Visitor runs a Well Baby Clinic every Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30. This is also a drop-in service for pre-school children. 

Family Planning & Sexual Health

Midwife Antenatal Clinic 

Our midwife holds clinics at the surgery for pregnant women on Fridays. 

Cervical Cancer Screening 

Female patients between the ages of 25 and 64 are advised to have regular smear tests. We operate a call and recall system to remind you.

Smoking Cessation 

We actively encourage smokers to give up the habit and provide smoking cessation support, nicotine replacement and/or medication. Please book to see one of our Health Care Assistants for this.

Health Screening 

We offer the NHS Health check to all eligible patients aged over 40. 

Phlebotomy 

Our healthcare assistants and nurse carry out phlebotomy (blood tests) throughout the week. 

Travel Vaccinations

If you're planning to travel outside the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world.

 

Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges.
